Welcome to Explore Cebu Tours & Travel. By accessing our website and booking any of our tours, transfers, transportation services, or related products, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. General
Explore Cebu Tours & Travel is a Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited tour operator providing tours, airport transfers, point-to-point transfers, private car charters, and other travel-related services.
All bookings are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Rates
- All prices are quoted in Philippine Peso (PHP) unless otherwise stated.
- Rates are based on the selected destination, service area, vehicle type, and itinerary.
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings will honor the agreed price.
3. Booking Confirmation
- All reservations are subject to availability.
- A booking is considered confirmed only after payment has been received (when applicable) and a confirmation voucher or booking confirmation has been issued by Explore Cebu Tours & Travel.
- To ensure availability, bookings should be made at least seven (7) hours before the scheduled pickup or departure time. Requests received after this period will be accommodated based on availability.
4. Information Required
To process your reservation accurately, guests must provide complete and accurate information, including:
- Lead passenger name
- Contact number and email address
- Number of passengers
- Pickup and drop-off location
- Travel date and time
- Hotel or accommodation details (if applicable)
- Flight number and arrival/departure details (for airport transfers)
- Preferred itinerary (for private car charters)
- Special requests
Guests are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate.
5. Payment
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Credit/Debit Card
- Online Payment
- Bank Transfer
Bookings may require full or partial payment before confirmation, depending on the selected service.
6. Airport Transfers
For airport arrival transfers:
- Complimentary waiting time is provided for up to 60 minutes from the actual flight arrival time.
- Guests experiencing flight delays, immigration delays, baggage delays, or any unforeseen circumstances must notify our Operations Team as soon as possible.

Failure to contact us within the complimentary waiting period may be treated as a no-show, and the booking may become non-refundable.
7. Waiting Time
Unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation:
- Airport Transfers include 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time.
- Private Car Charters include 45 minutes of complimentary waiting time at the initial pickup location.
- Additional waiting time beyond the complimentary period will incur overtime charges.
8. Pickup and Drop-off
- Pickup and drop-off locations must match the details stated in the confirmed booking.
- Guests are responsible for providing accurate pickup information, hotel details, flight information, and contact information.
- Changes to the booking, including pickup or drop-off locations, travel dates, times, or itinerary, are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Explore Cebu Tours & Travel reserves the right to decline requests that cannot reasonably be accommodated.
9. Additional Stops, Surcharges & Overtime
Bookings are based on the confirmed itinerary. Any additional requests made during the trip may be subject to extra charges.
Additional Stops
- Standard additional stop: PHP 500 per stop
- Simala Shrine stop: PHP 1,600
- Uphill destinations: PHP 500 for the first uphill destination and PHP 350 for each succeeding uphill destination within the same trip.
- Certain destinations (such as Buwakan ni Alejandra, Charlie’s Cup, and similar locations) may have different pricing due to accessibility and operational requirements.
Overtime Charges
If the service exceeds the booked duration due to guest requests or delays not attributable to Explore Cebu Tours & Travel, the following overtime rates shall apply:
- Sedan – PHP 300 per hour
- AUV – PHP 400 per hour
- Van – PHP 500 per hour
Payment of Surcharges
All applicable surcharges, overtime fees, and additional service charges are payable directly to the driver in cash, unless otherwise agreed in writing before the trip.
10. Vehicle Assignment and Luggage
Vehicle assignment is based on passenger count, luggage requirements, availability, and operational considerations.
Explore Cebu Tours & Travel reserves the right to assign or substitute the booked vehicle with another vehicle of similar or higher category when necessary.
Guests are responsible for declaring oversized or excess luggage during booking.
Additional charges may apply if another vehicle is required to accommodate excess baggage.
11. Child Policy
Unless otherwise specified:
- Children 2 years old and below travel free of charge when sharing existing seats with accompanying adults. Meals are not included where applicable.
- Children 3 to 11 years old are charged 75% of the applicable adult rate, unless otherwise stated.
Some tours or attractions may have separate child policies imposed by their operators.
12. Cancellation Policy
Tours
- Cancellations made within two (2) days prior to the scheduled tour date are subject to a 100% cancellation charge.
Airport Transfers
- Guests may cancel their airport transfer free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, including no-shows, are non-refundable.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the original payment method.
13. No Refund Policy
No refunds, whether full or partial, shall be issued for:
- Unused services
- Missed tours
- Missed transfers
- Late arrivals
- Voluntary changes after service commencement
- No-shows
14. Holidays and Peak Season
Certain services may not be available or may be subject to surcharges during major holidays and special events.
Additional charges may apply during periods including but not limited to:
- Christmas (December 24–25)
- New Year (December 31–January 1)
- All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (November 1–2)
- Holy Week
- Sinulog Festival
- Other government-declared holidays or major local events
Holiday surcharge rates will be communicated before booking confirmation.
15. Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for:
- Arriving at the designated pickup location on time
- Providing complete and accurate booking information
- Following the instructions of drivers, tour guides, and tour coordinators
- Respecting local laws, attraction policies, and vehicle rules
Guests shall be responsible for any damage caused to vehicles or equipment due to negligence or misconduct.
16. Assumption of Risk
Each guest participating in any tour or transportation service provided by Explore Cebu Tours & Travel acknowledges that travel involves inherent risks.
Guests voluntarily participate at their own risk and accept responsibility for their own safety, personal belongings, and well-being throughout the duration of the service.
17. Limitation of Liability
Explore Cebu Tours & Travel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, or inconvenience arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Acts of God
- Flight delays or cancellations
- Traffic congestion
- Government regulations
- Road closures
- Public disturbances
- Mechanical breakdowns
- Accidents
- Health emergencies
- Strikes
- Terrorist acts
- Any other unforeseen events
Our liability, where applicable, shall be limited to the amount paid for the affected service.
18. Force Majeure
Neither Explore Cebu Tours & Travel nor the guest shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, war, government actions, pandemics, epidemics, transportation disruptions, labor strikes, or similar events.
Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking or offer an alternative arrangement. Refunds, if applicable, shall be processed in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
19. Amendments
Explore Cebu Tours & Travel reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
The latest version published on this website shall supersede all previous versions.
